What are the stages in the halal certification process?
The halal certification process with ARGML consists of several stages:
- Online halal certification application: Fill in the online certification application form, providing information about your company and products.
- Application review: ARGML examines your application and the documents provided to validate the feasibility of certification.
- Validation of the halal certification contract: After reviewing your file, a halal certification contract is drawn up, detailing services, fees, rules for using the ARGML trademark and conditions of commitment.
- Initial audit: Audits (documentary and on-site) are carried out at each production site to verify compliance with halal requirements.
- Certification decision: The certification committee meets to evaluate the dossier and make a decision.
- Maintaining certification: Once certification has been obtained, monitoring activities are put in place (ritual production control, laboratory analysis plan, surveillance audits) to ensure that halal certification is maintained.
What documents do I need to submit with my certification application?
The online certification application form guides you through the various documents required. You’ll need to provide detailed information about your company, production site, products, ingredients, suppliers and manufacturing processes. Documents such as ingredient lists, certificates of origin, technical data sheets, production plans, etc. may be requested.
What are the costs associated with halal certification?
