Dit wordt gevolgd door:<\/strong>
De Raad van de Vergadering voor Islamitische Rechtspraak (fiqh) van de Islamitische Wereldliga heeft tijdens zijn 10e Congres in Makkah, gehouden tussen zaterdag 24 Safar 1408H\/18 oktober 1987 en woensdag 28 Safar 1408H\/21 oktober 1987, het volgende onderwerp besproken (het slachten van voedseldieren die elektronarcose hebben ondergaan: een proces dat bedwelming veroorzaakt door een elektrische stroom door de hersenen te leiden)
Ten eerste:<\/strong>
Als het dier na de elektrocutie geslacht is terwijl het nog leeft, wordt dit beschouwd als een geldige rituele immolatie en daarom is het vlees ervan halal volgens de algemeenheid van het gezegde van Allah in het vers: “Verboden voor jullie zijn dode dieren, bloed, varkensvlees, alles wat gedood is onder het aanroepen van een andere naam dan die van God, dieren die verstikt zijn, verdoofd, gedood door een val of door een slag van de hoorn; die door een woest beest gesneden zijn, tenzij jullie ze door bloeden gezuiverd hebben.
Ten tweede:<\/strong>
Als het dier ten gevolge van deze elektrocutie zijn leven verliest voordat het wordt ge\u00efmmoliseerd, dan wordt het beschouwd als een dood dier waarvan het vlees verboden is om te eten.
Ten derde:<\/strong>
Het elektrocuteren van het dier – onder hoogspanning – is een marteling voor het dier voordat het wordt ge\u00efmmoliseerd. De Islam verbiedt dit soort martelingen en beveelt genade en barmhartigheid. Van de Profeet (vrede zij met hem) is overgeleverd dat hij zei: “God heeft in alles weldadigheid voorgeschreven. Dus als je doodt, doe het dan op de beste manier en als je slacht, doe het dan op de beste manier. Slijp je mes en spaar het dierenleed.” Gerapporteerd door Moslim
Ten vierde:<\/strong>
Als de elektroneutering – met verminderde spanning – zo gebeurt dat het dier niet wordt gemarteld. En als er doelstellingen zijn in deze operatie, zoals het verzachten van de pijn van het slachten en het kalmeren van het geweld en het verzet, dan is het vanuit religieus oogpunt niet verwijtbaar om dergelijke belangen na te streven.
